Description
Abu Dabbab is a nature reserve located 35 km south of Marsa Alam Airport on the Red Sea, with attractive blue waters, white sandy shores and lovely marine life.
This is the place where lovers of marine fauna strive to go.
It is here that you can see a sea cow (dugong), the length of which reaches
3 meters and weighs about 400 kg.
Two of the seven dugongs live in the reserve, and their names are Dennis and Dougal.
If you are lucky enough to see them, you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling next to them.
Mysterious sea turtles are striking in their size.
The dugong, as well as giant sea turtles, have chosen Abu Dabbab Bay due to the presence of the unique sea grass that these animals feed on.
Beautiful coral reefs and a huge number of marine life have made this place a popular and favorite among divers.
The road takes 2.5 hours (it is 250 km south of Hurghada) and you find yourself in a fabulous lagoon on a beach with fine sand and a wonderful entry into the sea.
